A deep neck lift is an advanced neck contouring procedure that tightens underlying muscles, removes excess fat, and reshapes deeper structures for a more defined jawline and youthful profile. The platysma muscles are tightened and reshaped, excess fat both above and below the muscle is carefully removed or sculpted, and supportive tissues are repositioned to define the jawline and neck contour. The skin is then redraped smoothly with minimal tension, and incisions are closed to keep scars as discreet as possible.

Procedure Time: around 2-3 hours

• Post-op Course:  Oral antibiotics and pain reliever are taken for a week.  Expect swelling and bruising over the neck area for 1-2 weeks.   Sleeping with the head elevated and at neutral position will ensure the swelling is evenly distributed.  Frequent ice compress is advised to help with the swelling.  Do not carry heavy load and refrain from exercises.

• Sutures:  sutures are removed after 1 week
   
• Recovery Time: 1-2 weeks
   
• Results: Expect swelling and bruising for 1-2 weeks.  The neck looks pulled and feels tight for 1 -3 months.   The skin will loosen after 3-6 months and will look more natural.
